The desk staff were kind and nice, which is why I wanted to leave a good review, but there were too many problems. There was basically no hot water, ceiling tiles were down because of a leak in the ice room, and the ice machine was out of order. Both elevators were down, and the AC wasn’t working well. There were Peanut M&M’s that weren’t mine beside the headboard and bedside table, and the room was generally a bit dirty. Hilton properties have really gone downhill. We won’t be back. Hate that, since the people were nice.
We expected the place to be in much rougher shape from some of the bad reviews, but I had a comfortable stay and would recommend it. Breakfast was fine, with fresh coffee, juice, green apples, a few bananas, Light & Fit yogurt, three cereals, boiled eggs and some hot food. The gym was being used by several guests who seemed happy with it. We also did laundry: only one washer worked, though both dryers did. I had to unplug the noisy mini-fridge. My parents stayed on the third floor, which smelled like weed and/or vaping when we arrived; the elevators seemed sketchy, and after one ride I used the stairs. My mom did too, even though she never chooses stairs voluntarily. I was on the first floor, which may have helped. As other reviews mention, the doors stick and take effort to open and close, and they’re loud too.
The beds were comfortable and the room was dark and quiet, but it was so hot that good luck getting any sleep. We’re here for a work training my husband has to attend, and most of the crew said this morning they had the same problems in their rooms: no hot water and no AC. In room 317, even with the shower turned all the way to Hot last night, the water never got lukewarm. We still have another night, but I’ll be looking for a different hotel today.
Check-in was easy and the staff were polite, the only positive I can offer. Room 218 seemed to have human feces in and around the toilet, so I immediately asked to move. Room 214 was just as disturbing: there appeared to be substances splashed on the walls, and I used a glove and Clorox wipes to clean visible splatter by the bed. That says enough on its own. It was extremely late, and I felt unsafe and disgusted. I slept fully dressed on top of the covers and skipped breakfast the next morning. I will never stay here again. The experience was unsanitary, distressing, and unacceptable at any price. I’m asking for a full refund and honestly feel a comp at another hotel is warranted. This should never happen to a paying guest.
The women working there were nice, and the rooms were clean with comfortable beds, but this hotel would be last on my list in the area. The shower pressure was so bad that water barely came out, and the same problem affected my mom’s and uncle’s rooms too. When I called the front desk, she said it was due to calcium buildup. Breakfast was subpar: the waffle mix seemed to have gone bad, and the orange juice didn’t taste fresh, so I went to Whataburger instead. The elevator sounded like it might break down any minute and was the scariest contraption I’ve ridden. I probably won’t come back.
