The staff were professional, attentive, and a pleasure to work with. Their hospitality made the wedding feel seamless, so the couple and guests could enjoy the occasion. I’ve officiated weddings in many memorable venues as an interfaith wedding rabbi and officiant, and Hotel Le Marais stood out for creating an intimate, stylish celebration in the heart of the French Quarter. The courtyard’s greenery and tranquil pool gave us a relaxed, private feeling while still keeping us close to the character of New Orleans. I appreciated the boutique setting and its focus on meaningful gatherings. It encouraged conversation and connection, and the celebration felt personal. The venue balanced modern elegance with New Orleans character, contemporary and sophisticated while still full of the French Quarter’s distinctive atmosphere. I’d gladly recommend Hotel Le Marais to couples looking for boutique hospitality, French Quarter charm, and a beautiful courtyard for a meaningful celebration. Some weddings are memorable because of the closeness they create, not their size.

The elevator was slow and unpredictable at times, and one morning I spotted a small cockroach in the bathroom. Not ideal, but it only happened once. Check-in was smooth, and the staff were friendly and welcoming during my stay. My clean, simple room suited a solo traveler and gave me a comfortable place to recharge. I picked this older hotel for its classic charm and prime French Quarter location. Everything was within walking distance. I arrived near the end of the Jazz & Heritage Festival, when some streets were blocked, so I walked about a block and a half with my luggage. The music and crowds made that part of the experience. The hotel has its quirks, but the location and kind staff made the stay pleasant. A good fit if you expect to spend most of your time out exploring the city.

There’s no restaurant on site, but Cafe Beignet around the corner is a good breakfast spot. The beds are comfy and the A/C is great. This cozy, charming little hotel is steps from the bourbon Street action, yet you’d never know it once inside because it’s super quiet.

The hotel is slightly outdated, which is why I’d give it 9/10 overall, but the location and people working there more than made up for that. We visited Easter weekend and walked the whole French Quarter easily, popping back into the room during the day before heading out again. The location was 10/10. Parking was simple in a secure garage across the street. Pierre at the front desk was welcoming and friendly, let us check in early, and suggested places to eat. The cleaning staff took good care of things, cleaning our room daily and being very nice. The bartender, FRANK, was also a 10/10. He was awesome, the perfect bartender, and you’ll be friends before you leave. If you’re considering booking, I’d recommend it. It was great!

The rooms were small, but the bedding was comfortable, the shower pressure was strong, and the TV was a nice size. We did miss having a mini-frig or microwave, which we’ve come to expect in hotels. Check ahead if you booked a specific room type, since I think they may double book. The location is hard to beat: half a block off Bourbon St., in the middle of the French Quarter, and within walking distance of all the good stuff.
