Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites New Philadelphia by IHG

The coffee was excellent, and the property itself was very nice. My room was clean apart from a wrapper for something under the edge of the bed that I’m not comfortable mentioning. I’d still recommend the facility despite the breakfast being poorly maintained. The setup looked nice, but the selection wasn’t refreshed well and fell far below what I usually see at IHG locations. The egg dish was empty, there wasn’t much sausage or potato left, and the potatoes were dry and cold. The sausage was overcooked and shriveled.

Check your statement the next day if you stay here. I was charged twice for my October room, and despite calling the next week and being told they’d reverse it, they never did. I called again a week later and got the same response. A week after that, I asked for the manager and still got no reversal. Even after I went through my bank with multiple receipts, the charge wasn’t fixed. Before our reservation, Cheryl was extremely rude on two calls. I only asked if we could have a room near the friends we were traveling with for a wedding, and she practically yelled at me. She was also the employee who double-charged my room. When we asked about local places to get lunch the next day, we were ignored. The whole thing was bizarre. The breakfast buffet was trashed when we went down somewhat early, so I wouldn’t book for breakfast.

Everything felt fresh and modern after the full renovation, and the hotel was clean. We had an excellent stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites New Philadelphia. The location is handy too, with Starbucks, Chipotle Mexican Grill, and the newly opened Chick-fil-A just a one-minute walk away. Staff were outstanding, friendly, professional, and always willing to help. Highly recommend!

The breakfast bar was a highlight, especially the turkey sausage, which was a pleasant surprise. The cheese omelettes and coffee were delicious and made my morning better. I’ve stayed at a lot of Holiday Inns, and this was one of the best. Every staff member I passed greeted me, and we didn’t have a single problem.
