Extended Stay America Suites New York City LaGuardia Airport

I stayed here once, had a bad experience, and made the mistake of coming back. Both rooms reeked of mold and garbage, and the whole place smelled filthy as soon as you walked in. There were roaches in the bathroom and hallways. I brought a black light and saw stains on the sheets and pillows, which hadn't been washed properly. There was even urine in the elevator from other guests' dogs. It also seemed to be used as a shelter, and some of the people staying there seemed sketchy. They charged $121 a day plus $20 daily for parking for what felt like a dingy motel. I wouldn't stay again even if it were free. I can still smell that nasty place on my clothes.

We had a comfortable, nice stay for the Christmas holidays. The place gave my family the space and what we needed to enjoy our time here. There were a few little issues, like a light that was broken and wouldn't turn on, but aside from that, it was great. Miralba and the other guy were a big help at both check-in and check-out, taking care of what we needed. I'll keep this hotel in mind if my family wants to stay here for a while next time.

Danny, the utility and maintenance man, was always hard at work whenever I saw him, indoors or outside. The whole team at this College Point Queens location is dedicated and hardworking. Marjorie, Miralba, and a gentleman whose name I can't recall were all wonderful and clearly committed to customer care and concerns. I came from a healthcare general services management background, so I notice dedicated employees lol.

So far, we've had a positive experience. The front desk is courteous, and Miralba always says hello when we pass. She's got a smile and finds solutions, especially when we had a leak in the kitchen sink. She comes across as really sweet and caring. The room service staff are nice and kind, too. Five stars for Miralba.
