Hotel Belleclaire

I loved staying at Hotel Belleclaire both times, first on my own and later with a friend. It felt much more joyful than the bigger Midtown hotel I’d also stayed at. The place is cozy and clean, the staff are friendly, and the doorman is wonderfully chatty. There’s an acquired European charm to it that I really appreciated. The bakery is great, the coffee amazing, and even the entrance smells welcoming. I’d absolutely stay again.

We spent a week here during the recent polar vortex, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean, and the recently redone gym was perfect. My husband looked forward to coffee and croissants from the cafe each morning. We love charming boutique hotels, and BelleClaire is now on our list. I hosted a small, intimate gathering in the Allure bar, and our guests were impressed by both the space and the staff. It was wonderful and exceeded what we expected. The location is a ten.

We were caught in a blizzard and had to extend our stay, and couldn’t have picked a better place to be snowed in. Hotel Belleclaire is an elegant architectural gem on the Upper West Side, in a fantastic, central neighborhood. The rooms were airy, comfortable, and beautifully appointed. The staff were outstanding, gracious, and made us feel special. Many thanks to Benedict, Maria, Sean, and the rest of the team whose names we didn’t catch. We’re so glad we stayed this past week, and we’ll definitely return.

I was there one night for work and was pleasantly surprised by how quiet and spacious the room felt by New York standards. The hotel has a lovely, elegant lobby, and the staff were friendly and helpful. The room is simple, without a fridge or coffee, but there’s a wonderful cafe connected to the hotel. My breakfast was free with vouchers. The subway is an easy walk away, and I’d gladly stay here again.
