Hotel Hendricks

We loved our room with its Empire State view, and the staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel is clean throughout, with stylish rooms and a beautiful bathroom. I loved the fancy decor everywhere. The first-floor restaurant and rooftop bar meant we could have amazing nights without going out in the extreme cold. We didn’t want to leave.

Hendricks made us feel welcome from the start, after our flights were cancelled in the snowstorm and our original hotel kicked us out, rudely saying they had no room. We had to extend our stay more than once as flights were cancelled again, and Hendricks kept the cheaper rate from our first night. That was a nice touch. The location, rooms, service, and price were all fantastic. Couldn’t fault the stay. I’d highly recommend it.

The king Deluxe room worked perfectly for me, though it might feel tight for two. The room was clean, but some corners had clearly been cut: the remote was FILTHY, and areas that don’t get much traffic looked like they hadn’t been dusted in a long time. It was also pretty dark even with all the lights on, so I took off a star. The lobby is tiny and gets busy. Still, the front desk staff were generally nice and checked me in and out quickly. The location is handy for Broadway and lots of the usual tourist sights.

We spent a week here and had a perfect stay for what we needed. Sure, the rooms are on the small side, but they were clean, and that mattered more to us. Bus and subway stops are very close, and we could walk to most things. The location was the best part. We’d stay here again on our next visit to NY.
