Hotel Park Ave

Getting around was easy, with the subway close by and Koreatown only a short walk away, which suited us well. Our room was lovely, thoughtfully designed, and had a very comfortable bed. The shower was roomy and modern. The recent renovations have made a noticeable difference, and the current stay feels much better than the older reviews suggest. Reception staff were kind and helpful throughout. Special thanks to Bryan, who went out of his way to answer our questions and help with transportation. There isn’t an in-house breakfast room right now, so the hotel gives you a voucher for the cafe across the street. We enjoyed its cozy feel, coffee, and pastries, and liked that there was no fixed breakfast time since we tend to eat late. It looks like a restaurant is being built at the hotel, so that may change. The voucher worked well for us, and we really enjoyed our visit. I’d recommend it to anyone coming to NYC.

The staff made us feel welcome right away, with water and a glass of champagne at check-in. There was always someone keeping an eye on the lobby while we came and went, which helped me feel safe traveling as a woman in NYC. A few housekeeping things were missing when we got to the room, but one call to reception brought them up quickly. We had four women sharing a room with two full beds and could move around without a problem. The rooms are small compared with hotels in other cities, but good by New York standards, and the bathroom was much bigger than I expected. We barely heard the horns and sirens outside, and the beds were comfortable. We walked around all weekend. Popular places like Grand Central Station, Rockefeller Center, Radio City, Times Square, and Central Park were about a 20-30 minute walk away, with an easy route up 5th Avenue. Great location and service, just what we wanted in a NYC hotel.

After a day of delayed and canceled flights, we finally got to the hotel and Allen welcomed us. He was the star of the night, and his excellent service lifted my spirits. We were in New York for my mom’s birthday, and I appreciated how he made sure we were settled. The room was so nice that my mom couldn't stop recording. I’d absolutely recommend staying here.

The rooms were lovely, the location was great, and the front desk staff were kind. I raised my rating after finally getting my folio five days later. I’d originally been frustrated because I needed the document for a business expense report. I called several times and sent three emails, but heard nothing back for five days. I urgently needed the paperwork, and the lack of follow-through was very disappointing.
