Lic Plaza Hotel

The room was clean and spacious, with a nice view of Queensboro Bridge and the Manhattan skyline. The thermostat was adjustable, so we could keep it cozy. Breakfast was complimentary, with a typical American hotel spread like toast, croissants, bagels, scrambled eggs, ham, cheese, and coffee. It was enough to start the day full. I liked staying here away from Manhattan’s craziness. Hotels in Manhattan can be outdated and cost more, so this felt like a good alternative. The hotel is in a young, changing part of Long Island City (LIC), with new high rises and lots of shops, grocery stores, and cafes nearby. There are a few sketchy-looking spots on the street, including a garage next door with broken taxis, but walking around the area felt safe overall. Queensboro Plaza, with the N, W, and 7 trains, is a short walk away, and Manhattan is about 10 minutes by subway. There’s also a Starbucks and a large grocery store within five minutes. The entrance looked pretty average and a bit cheap, but the front desk staff were very nice. For the price, it’s a good quality option close to Manhattan.

LIC Plaza Hotel Corp is a convenient base in Long Island City, with transport links and city attractions nearby. Its rooms have skyline views, Wi-Fi, TVs, plush bedding, and workspaces, and the fitness center and shared areas offer places to exercise or relax. There are also on-site meals, snacks, and drinks. For work or leisure, the location and facilities make it an appealing place to stay in Long Island City.

The subway is just down the road, so it was easy to get around New York quickly. I got to stay for three days and absolutely loved it. The staff were really friendly and helpful, the room was spotless, and the duvet and pillows were so comfortable. The buffet breakfast had lots of good choices and tasted great. I’d definitely recommend it for a stay or a layover in New York.

The rooms are on the small side, but it’s quiet and the window view is exciting. Breakfast was better than I expected for a hotel in this category. The location is the real draw: a five-minute walk to the subway, then two stops to the city center. For this price, it’s one of the best options.
