Residence Inn by Marriott New York Downtown Manhattan/World Trade Center Area

The quiet on the 17th floor and daily housekeeping made the stay especially comfortable. Everything was clean, and we liked being able to take the included breakfast back to our room. Jane at the front desk made our first trip to New York City, from December 24 to December 30, unforgettable. When she heard it was my birthday, she kindly upgraded us to the best room in our category, a beautiful corner room with a wonderful view of Lower Manhattan. She was warm and quick to help with every request, always friendly and focused on finding a solution. That kind of service is rare. The hotel exceeded our expectations for service, comfort, and hospitality, and we highly recommend it to anyone visiting New York City.

I’m grateful to the staff for helping me through a long, unexpected stay after a fire affected my home and I was relocated during repairs. I lived here for over two months, and the front desk, lobby, and room attendants were consistently kind, respectful, friendly, and helpful. The location off Broadway in FiDi is charming and impressive, with food, bars, and coffee close by and easy access to almost everywhere in NYC, including Jersey City. In winter, you can make the long indoor walk through the Oculus to Brookfield Place and check out Eataly. If you need a hotel in the area, this place really is a gem.

For a longer stay in NY, this Residence Inn Downtown was convenient and dependable. The rooms feel more like small apartments than standard hotel rooms, with a practical kitchenette and extra space. The beds were comfortable, and the staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was free, simple, and solid. It’s a short walk to the WTC memorial, transit, and good coffee spots. Nothing flashy, just a good base for exploring lower Manhattan.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and we really enjoyed our stay. The elevators were fast, which mattered in a busy 19-floor hotel. The location suited our Manhattan trip well: an easy walk to the World Trade Center area and around lower Manhattan, with Whole Foods nearby to stock the room’s kitchen. There are several subway lines at WTC or Fulton Street. The hotel has fewer food choices than some other Marriotts, but the per diem for food and drinks in the little shop helped.
