Matthew at the Concierge desk was especially helpful. He gave us restaurant ideas, explained the Subway, and told us what MVC NYC offers to make up for the limited room space. The rooms are small, like you'd expect in New York, with very little room for clothes, but we only used ours to sleep, so it was fine. There are free city tours every day, with morning and afternoon options. We tipped our guide, though he wasn't expecting it. MVC NYC also has free afternoon entertainment and wine, along with snacks featuring local food. We were a couple of blocks from either the 42nd Street or Herald Square Subway lines, and could get almost anywhere from there. Local restaurants are also just a block or two away. The MVC staff were friendly and helpful, and we'll definitely return if we come back to NYC. I'm giving MVC New York five stars as a place suited to city life, where space is at a premium, rather than as a sprawling resort.

We arrived for a long weekend with no plans beyond joining as many MVC walking tours as we could. There was one each day of our three-night stay, and we loved that. Hector was an awesome guide, friendly, knowledgeable, and funny. His explanations and photos made everything stick. I'd recommend the two-hour tours at 09:15 or 10:45. I just wish they had afternoon tours too so we could have done more. We also loved the wine and cheese one afternoon. If only that happened every day. We'll definitely be back, hopefully soon!

Small rooms, but clean, with a really helpful staff and a great location. There's easy access to Central Park and plenty of restaurants around. This'll be my go-to in Manhattan from now on.

The views are amazing, and it's about an 8 minute walk to the subway. There are plenty of good food options within a 15 minute walk too. But the staff deserve the biggest praise. I've never stayed somewhere with people so friendly and attentive to what I needed.
