The room was very comfortable, especially the high bed, which came with several pillows of different thicknesses and firmness. There was a coffee machine with complimentary coffee and milk, a TV, Wi-Fi, a wardrobe and safe, plus a bottle of water available at extra cost. The bathroom looked a little dated, but everything worked. It had a comfortable bathtub, toilet and sink, as well as shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and hand and body cream. We were greeted outside when we arrived and helped with our luggage. The staff were consistently kind and professional during our stay. There are two elevators, so waits aren’t usually long. The hotel also has a fitness area, vending machines, and a computer area, though we didn’t use them. We didn’t book breakfast or try the restaurant, so can’t comment on either. The decor has a carefully kept, classic look with gold, brown, and burgundy, and the façade matches it. It gives the place a lot of character. One thing that could be better is the soundproofing. We could hear nearly everything in the hall and adjoining rooms. The heating and air conditioning were also quite noisy and could use an update. Apart from those issues, we had an excellent stay. It’s a comfortable, charming hotel, especially if you like a classic style.
