The Cloud One New York-Downtown, by the Motel One Group

Sade at the front desk was patient with all our questions and helped us a lot, which we really appreciated. We had a good stay and might come back. Our room was on a higher floor with a WTC view, spacious by NY standards, modern, quiet despite the outside noise, and had a comfortable bed. The shower pressure could be stronger, and breakfast could be better. The location is a bit far from the main attractions, though that may not be a bad thing.

We found the downtown location useful for exploring Lower Manhattan, with easy walks to Battery Park, Wall Street, Oculus, the World Trade Center and 9/11 Memorial, plus subway lines for getting around Manhattan. It’s calmer than the Times Square chaos. The rooms are small by NYC standards, but quiet, clean, modern, and well equipped with comfy beds, a fridge, coffee and tea, and nice design details. Check-in was smooth, and the front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout. The rooftop bar and views were a nice extra, and the value felt solid for the area. I’d stay again for the downtown convenience. 4 stars.

Rikky at reception made us feel very well looked after, with genuine kindness, professionalism, and warm hospitality. Coming from Germany, we felt welcome and comfortable from the moment we arrived. The hotel’s atmosphere was fantastic, and the service exceeded what we expected. Our room looked out over the 9/11 Memorial, an incredible view that made the trip especially memorable. The location is nearly perfect, in a great neighborhood with everything easy to reach. We’d gladly return and are already looking forward to another stay. Thank you for such a memorable experience!

The hotel made our New York trip even more memorable. We’d planned a weekend away for my husband’s birthday, and since neither of us had been to the city before, we wanted to see as much as we could. New York is expensive, so we booked an inexpensive room. At reception we were greeted warmly, and they surprised us with a city-view room for his birthday, which made us very happy. The hotel is clean and well maintained, and felt like home without anything causing discomfort. The design is modern, the restaurant dishes are exquisite, and the bar was a pleasure. Late on the night we arrived, I noticed the menu let you order a cocktail based on what you like, even if it wasn’t listed. The bartender made us a wonderful off-menu cocktail, and it was unbeatable. I’ll definitely return and recommend it to friends. Thank you very much!
