The Flat NYC

A good budget pick if the price stays low. Midtown made it easy to walk to Times Square, Penn Station, theaters, and subway stations, while still being outside the noisiest chaos. The rooms were clean and the beds comfortable, but they were small, dated, and showed some wear. The walls were thin too, and the decor felt like a typical budget NYC stay. It was functional, nothing fancy. Service was okay: a few staff members were friendly at check-in, but responses were slow and the place felt understaffed. I’d consider coming back for the location at the right price. Four stars overall.

A nice little hotel for budget travel, especially if you don't spend much time in your room. The room has a small sink and a comfortable bed, while the bathroom and showers are down the hall. The location feels private and is close to lots of subway lines, restaurants, and bars. The staff were nice, and I’ll stay again.

I felt safe here, and the room was very clean. Everyone on staff was kind and helpful, so it was a great stay. If I return to New York, I’ll stay here again. Special thanks to Eddy for helping sort out my booking issue.

We spent most of our time out exploring, so the basic room was just what we needed. It had a very comfortable king-size bed, air conditioning that was a lifesaver, and a useful little sink. The shared bathroom never caused us any trouble, and all the amenities were clean. Staff were friendly and let us leave our luggage nearby while we went out before our later flight. The location is amazing, right in the heart of NYC in the Flatiron District, with easy access to the subway. Great value for a simple stay, and I’d absolutely recommend it.
