The laundry room was my favorite amenity. It’s open 24/7, and having detergent and dryer sheets supplied was a big plus. Daily light housekeeping was appreciated too, with fresh towels and linens and the bed made each day. The property was very clean throughout. The Lantern is right on Delancey/Essex St in the Lower East Side, with several train lines nearby, so getting to Midtown, Uptown, and Brooklyn was easy. I had a typical King room. It was smaller than I expected, which is pretty normal for New York, but I liked the large window and bench seating even though the view was just okay. The mini kitchen and hotplates were handy, though there was no freezer, and our hotplate couldn’t get water to a boil, so we used the kettle to cook. The walls were thin enough that we could hear neighbors even when they weren’t loud, and the elevator was noticeable. Street traffic and noise were constant too, but that’s New York haha. Still a solid stay, and I’d consider this Kasa again.

We had a power outage, but after we texted the hotel, they replied and had it fixed in under 15 minutes. The room was spacious for NYC, really clean, and check-in was easy. It’s also perfectly placed for getting around the city. This will be our go-to hotel when we visit NYC!

The cookies were such a nice surprise, and just what we needed each night after dinner. The room was clean and comfortable, and quiet apart from the usual NYC sirens and horns. Everything was close by: the subway, CVS/Duane Reade, and an easy Uber pickup right outside. I also loved having a Starbucks just steps from the front door for a quick morning coffee. Great location.

We had a great visit at Kasa Lantern New York, October 29 to November 1. Staff were kind and helpful, the room was very clean, and checking in ourselves was easy. The subway is nearby. You can hear traffic now and then, but it didn’t bother us much. Highly recommend!

The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and it was surprisingly quiet for NYC. Clean sheets and towels were provided, and the room was tidied every day. The location was amazing, so we’d definitely stay again. The Wi-Fi didn’t work very well, and the TV wasn’t connected to anything, so we couldn’t use it. Those quirks didn’t bother us, though.
