We booked a one-night getaway from Corvallis and chose a room with a spa. It was spacious, and the spa tub stayed consistently hot, which made for a great time, unlike at other places we’ve stayed. The fireplace beside it made the whole experience relaxing. Staff were friendly, the atmosphere was nice, and it’s always great to have continental breakfast included.
Pete and JoJo are the reason we want to return, and both deserve five stars. Pete was so amazing that we rescheduled for the weekend of January 30th for my husband’s birthday, just as we had for mine. JoJo was also wonderful and helpful the next morning. Thank you both. I had a serious complaint about Nyla, who was doing breakfast, and Wyatt. They spoke horribly about guests, calling us slobs who make messes and can’t clean up after ourselves, and talking about cross-contamination. Nyla handled eggs, sausage, and potatoes with her hands and a spoon, without gloves, then dealt with trash without gloves or washing her hands after handling food, dishes, and trash while training a new guy. He was left to figure things out by himself while Nyla and Wyatt flirted, horsed around, and talked badly about guests. Nyla was snotty and had a horrible attitude. I went to the front desk, where Wyatt and JoJo were, to ask whom I could speak to about making a complaint. Wyatt immediately seemed to know why I was there and tried to cover for her. He said Nyla was his girlfriend, asked if he could handle it himself, and asked me not to complain. He also said he and Nyla were moving to Eugene Oregon in a few weeks and wouldn’t be there anyway. I said I wanted to talk with someone above him. Wyatt didn’t like that and hesitated to give me a phone number. I didn’t trust that he gave me the right one, so I still haven’t made the complaint by phone. I definitely don’t recommend Wyatt or Nyla, zero stars for them.
Pete and Melissa at the front desk were outstanding. The staff really deserve five stars, and the genuine hospitality here is something you don’t often find these days. The whole hotel, including our room, was very clean, with no bad smells, which impressed me for a pet friendly place. The pool and breakfast were great too. My stay far exceeded expectations, and I’ll definitely return and recommend this location.
We spent three nights here, with a day sightseeing and another at the aquarium. There are enough attractions within driving and even walking distance to make a short stay worthwhile, though I wouldn’t stay longer unless you’re planning to fish or whale watch. The staff were kind, service was good, and the pool was fine for a family on a budget. Breakfast was average but had plenty of options. For the affordable price, it was about what I expected, nothing special. The room wasn’t fully clean: there was hair around the sink and shower, and a damp, musky smell that was almost like mildew. It seemed as if they’d treated for mildew, but the smell wasn’t fully covered. The door jamb also showed some wear. Still, it was a comfortable stay for the price.
The rooms were cozy and clean, and breakfast was hot with plenty to eat. Pool and spa access is 24 hours, and warm cookies were waiting in the lobby around check-in. Staff were friendly. The elevator made worrying noises, but I survived. Thick curtains helped since the views aren’t much and there was some road or work noise in the morning. The windows barely open, so for that good coast smell you need to step outside. I saw lots of lovely dogs, so it seems very pet friendly. I was happy with my stay.
