The continental breakfast was great, with plenty of variety and everything freshly baked that morning by a local bakery. Our room was immaculate and comfortable, and the Innkeeper was attentive and accommodating. We also loved the mountain views and quiet spot in North Conway Village. My husband and I have stayed at different B&Bs in North Conway NH over the years, but from now on we’ll stay at the Isaac Merrill House Inn. It’s under new ownership and has just finished a major renovation. There are so many improvements and upgrades that I couldn’t list them all. We’ll make the Isaac Merrill House Inn our North Conway vacation spot.

Tim, thanks for showing me the place and Room 11 today. Oltin, I love what you’re doing with this old place. The little details really show its character, from the old mailboxes behind check-in to the record player and the live-edge bar in the dining room. It’s clear money is going into restoring the building. This beautiful old building has 17 rooms, each with its own feel. The main areas have been remodeled, while the place keeps the charm of its 1773 era and adds modern conveniences. I found the occupants, the building manager, and the space itself beautiful and charming. It feels cozy and worth visiting for a longer stay. You’re close enough to town for all the fun, but set back far enough to avoid the noise. The ski runs are only minutes away.

We stayed in room 5 on the top floor. It was very warm, but the A/C kept it cool, and we could watch the sunset over Cathedral Ledge through the skylight. Breakfast was free, delicious, and ready on time every morning. The TV was small, but I didn’t come to the white mountains to watch TV all day. We’ve just got home from Labor Day weekend at the Isaac Merrill House, our first visit, and we can’t wait to return. We’d been hesitant after reading negative reviews online, but the Inn was incredibly charming and felt like a home away from home, without the sterile, corporate feel of a chain hotel. Adam, the innkeeper, greeted us each morning and afternoon and made sure our visit was comfortable.

Daniel, the innkeeper, was warm and welcoming, and made us feel at home. Breakfast had as much food as we could want, and it was all very good. We got a good price for two rooms, both with full bathrooms, LCD TVs with cable, and wifi. Wine and cheese beside the huge fireplace was a lovely way to start our stay. I came here with a couple of friends before hiking the presidential range and couldn’t have been more pleased. The place has an almost overwhelming amount of charm, with a great mix of modern comforts and old character. If I come back to the area for more hiking, I’ll absolutely stay here again.

The King suite was really cute, and the house had a nice backyard where the kids could play. The owner was very nice. He bought the place earlier this year and completely renovated it. It’s about a 2-3 minute ride to North Conway, and getting there is convenient because you can bypass the main stretch of N. Conway where traffic can be difficult. We stayed here with family for a weekend and had a great time. We visited Flume Gorge in Franconia Notch one day and rode the Cog Railway the next. I really liked this B&B and highly recommend it. Breakfast was so-so, just continental, but I think he knows that and is working on improving it now that he’s up and running.
