Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott O'Fallon, IL

My family visits the Scott airforce base area, and this is where we always stay. The rooms are the cleanest and the included breakfast is the best. Everyone working here is pleasant and helpful, and the kids love the pool. It's warm and usually not too crowded. I wouldn't stay anywhere else when we're in town.

My room door wouldn't close properly if I let it shut on its own. After housekeeping came through during the day, I kept returning from work to find the room left open with all my belongings inside. I contacted the front desk, and they said they'd reach the manager, but nothing changed during my 16-day stay. The photos show how the door looked when I got back. The hotel was otherwise fine, apart from a short hot water outage.

The reception staff treated clients very rudely, and I found the receptionist dishonest. I was there for a business meeting, and she canceled my booking after I caught her lying. I will never stay at the Fairfield hotel st -Louis O’Fallon. Before booking, people should make sure they're comfortable with the reception staff. Paying to stay there was a waste of money.

The main problem was the shower head. It was badly dirty and rusty, and my boyfriend and I were disgusted enough that I didn't shower there during our stay. I live nearby and don't know if they do maintenance checks on things like that, but it sure didn't look like it. Otherwise it was a typical three-star stay, breakfast included, and I wouldn't recommend it unless they clean up those shower heads. I was there from Sunday 11/24 to Tuesday 11/26 in room 327. Check-in was quick and easy, and the woman at the desk was nice. When I lost my key, she made me a replacement right away. The housekeepers I passed were sweet too. Payment, the elevators, and the key cards all worked, and the room was pretty clean. My only other concern was that the elevator inspection date showed 09/30/24 even though it was already November.
