Diplomat Motel

I paid $70 for a stinky room with bugs, and the door rattled whenever anyone passed. There was a gap at the bottom where I could see outside. The AC was too loud to sleep, and the fridge kept making noise all night. I got ONE tattered towel and nothing else. Since leaving, my whole body has been itching. The health department should close this place down. The owner should be ashamed. Without the migrant workers living here, I don’t think it would have any business. Now I’m in Nashville paying $80 for a clean, comfortable king-size bed, fluffy towels, washcloths, and breakfast with waffles, fruit, and cereal. I can even walk barefoot on the carpet there. And you have the nerve to charge $70 for this dump in a place no one’s heard of? Shame on you.

Nice place for a quiet small-town stay.

The room smelled like an ashtray, even though the desk lady said there’d be an extra charge if we smoked. I doubt they would have known if we had. I spent the night choking on smoke. The place was also a bit dirty and dingy, but at least it was somewhere to lay my head. Hopefully I won’t have to come back.

The owners were the rudest people I’ve ever met. Roaches appeared all over the room as soon as the lights went off, and it smelled awful. There were bedbugs too. This is easily the worst motel I’ve ever seen. They’d get zero stars from me if that were an option.
