The location was useful because it’s near Northeastern University, where I picked up my son. Otherwise, the room was in really bad shape. It was dated, which I wouldn’t have minded, but very dirty, especially the floor. I walked barefoot and my feet got filthy. When I asked for it to be cleaned, the housekeeper sprayed cleaner and mopped with a very dirty mop, just spreading the dirt around. The towel I used to wipe the floor turned black. There was no closet, and the little nook had no rod or hangers. The shower curtain was full of mildew, and the water pressure kept changing. Traffic rushed by noisily at all hours.

The price feels outrageous now. It used to be an affordable choice, but the room quality and cost both feel unsatisfactory when it’s $120 a night instead of $80, plus a $20 deposit for the remote. For people who don’t know town, the area may feel a little scary, though locals know this Inn is the best of the hotels along MacArthur here. I would’ve rated it much higher if I hadn’t found cheese, or something that looked like cheese, on the underside of the bed sham.

It’s a pretty secluded spot, but definitely convenient in an interesting location. If you’re stranded with nowhere else to go, you’d be grateful to have a roof over your head. That’s the kind of hotel this is. Be blessed.

The room and bathroom were nice and large. There’s parking on site, plus a microwave and fridge in the room and Dish television.

The toilet didn’t work, and the room needed to be sprayed or fogged or something. Once we turned off the lights, roaches came out in numbers.
