Hampton Inn & Suites Oklahoma City/Quail Springs

The staff were off the charts, and we were surprised by how much we liked the hotel. Our team had a room block, and I stayed one night for work and one for personal travel. They don't honor government workers, though they did tell us that when we checked in the night before my work stay. If I'd known earlier, we would have gone elsewhere. If you're not traveling for work, this is the place. If you are, go next door.

Breakfast was great, one of the reasons I book Hampton Inns often, and even though my room was close to the front desk, it stayed very quiet. I checked in fairly late on a weekday in early Dec and had a maintenance issue, but staff handled it quickly and moved me to another room. That room looked a little worn, and the heat cycled on and off all night.

We were in town for a soccer tournament and expected a basic motel, but check-in and checkout went well, and we really enjoyed the stay. GIP deserves a kind word for breakfast. Hands down, the best hotel breakfast I've had. She took the time to cook the potatoes and omelettes, and the potatoes tasted home-cooked. She's really nice too. My only complaint was that the pool was closed for the season, which would have been nice for our two teenage boys. Still, the breakfast made us happy.

The front desk staff are absolutely awesome, and breakfast always looks appealing. It's sad to see the place declining after we've stayed here multiple times. Our room's furniture was visibly stained, the rug needed cleaning, the heater was noisy, and the pillows should be burned. There were bleach-like stains on the hallway carpet, and the fourth-floor ice machine has been broken for at least a couple of months.
