Elida made us feel welcome, first when we arrived at the busy 5:15 pm check-in rush, then again at breakfast the next morning. She was delightful. The place is clean, roomy, and great for families. I’m a single mom with two high NRG kids, so it can be a whirlwind! I even loved the fitness center. Book it. We can’t wait to try the pool.

The digital key and app-based check-in and checkout were really convenient on a tight business schedule. That Hilton tech and the loyalty points are what kept this at three stars. I chose this Home2 Suites in Yukon, OK, for a quick work trip because I expected the brand’s reliability and a comfortable suite near amenities, but the room and stay were a letdown for the price. I won’t return to this location. If I book Home2 Suites again, it’ll be somewhere else. The suite felt worn out. The couch was beat up, with sheets thrown over the cushions to hide the damage, which wasn’t the fresh, modern feel I expected. Cleanliness was a bigger problem: hair in the shower drain, visible mold along the shower edges, bathroom and kitchen floors that looked unmopped for days, and sticky liquid spilled on the kitchen floor that I had to clean myself. It didn’t feel welcoming or home-like. The pool was another disappointment. The website said it stayed open all night for a swim or to unwind after a long day, but it closes at 11 PM. I’d planned on relaxing there after meetings and couldn’t. Mornings were noisy too. From 7 to 11 AM, housekeeping clattered carts, chatted loudly, and vacuumed like they were racing, even though they were two rooms away. I had to prepare for a big meeting and couldn’t concentrate. At checkout they were hovering nearby. Between the worn room, spotty cleaning, misleading pool hours, and disruptive noise, this was average at best. Fix the basics and it could be great.

The sink overflow drain in our room needs a bleach cleaning. It was disgusting, like some kind of science experiment. Other than that, it was a lovely stay. The room was quite nice for a wonderful price, breakfast was great, and the hotel is right by the freeway.

A heads-up for other guests: I checked out at 9:00 am, but was charged $104, basically the room price, for what they called a “late checkout.” My trip had been shortened by two days, and they charged me because of that. I’ve never had another hotel charge me this way. I won’t be back.
