OYO Hotel Oklahoma City South I-35 and SE 29th

They wouldn’t honor my cancellation, even though I had the text confirming the room was cancelled. The customer service was some of the worst I’ve dealt with in a long time. I’d only reserve here as a last resort, when you’re certain you’ll be pulling up to the hotel. I can only assume the rooms are as poor as the management.

We ended up taking the basic room, which was decent enough, because arguing all night wasn’t worth it. We’d booked and paid for a specific jacuzzi room more than a month earlier, and confirmed that room when we made the reservation. At check-in, after waiting over 20 minutes for the clerk, he said we’d only booked a standard room. He then offered the jacuzzi room for another $100. When I said no, he tried to bargain it down to $50 if I paid cash. It felt like he was trying to scam us.

The ceiling needs fixing, the pull-out lamp outlets don’t work, and the beds had no spreads.

Nothing fancy, but it covered the basics for a traveler and the room was clean enough. I was surprised by how comfortable the bed was, and they were accommodating with my pug. I’d likely stay again if I needed a place.
