Crest Motel

The Crest is close to downtown, so it's an easy walk to the fun and entertainment without having to stay right in the noise. The pool was great, and the kids loved being able to buy cheap ice cream in the office. Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and I have nothing bad to say about them. Rooms are clean and cared for, though a little dated. We also liked having gas grills in the courtyard, which helped us save on eating out. This was our second year here, and we'll be back. Highly recommend The Crest.

Just steps from the beach, with shops, restaurants, and the pier all within walking distance. The motel was clean and good value for the area. We stayed two nights, but I'd happily book a longer visit next time. The staff were super nice and quick to respond.

The best thing about The Crest Motel was how close it is to the beach. The parking area is right near the entrance to a semi-private stretch of sand, and we got out early to set up our beach camp before many people were around. The beach is only 50 yards from the motel, so the pool and hot tub were usually clean and not too crowded. The place is also well placed for a visit to Old Orchard Beach, within walking distance of the amusement park, arcade, and Pier. The rooms could use some care, but they were comfortable and serviced well considering all the sand and moisture they get. One correction, they don't have a spa tub in the rooms as advertised. The owner said that was a mistake when adding the shared hot tub details.

The staff were welcoming, and the location is hard to beat. There's on-site parking, the beach is right behind the property, and downtown, the pier, and amusement park are a short walk away. We enjoyed the pool, hot tub, and playground. It's a clean, spacious room for a no-frills beach stay. The trundle bed was especially useful, and the tiled floors made it easy to sweep up tracked-in sand. The rooms are dated and worn, though, and the beds aren't as comfortable as newer hotels or motels. The pillows were flat, with some staining from age.
