Hotel DeSoto

We were all cold through the night, even with the air set to 73, because the beds had only a very thin sheet as a “comforter.” The rooms smelled strongly of chemicals, and the cheap coffee in the morning tasted burnt. There was no breakfast at all. After just one night, I understood why the hotel was so cheap. It didn't feel welcoming, and we got out as fast as we could in the morning.

Staff were rude and unprofessional, and ignored the do not disturb signs on the doors. They touched my personal things, and some items went missing. They entered and left the room without permission, yet didn't clean it. The trash cans were overflowing. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.

My experience at Hotel DeSoto in Olive Branch was awful. The manager was rude, disrespectful, and unprofessional from the start, and I was treated with an attitude instead of hospitality. Later, I was banned from booking there without a valid explanation. Being refused service that way was outrageous and showed a serious lack of professionalism. Hotels should make guests feel welcome, safe, and respected, but Hotel DeSoto failed on every level. There are plenty of other hotels in Olive Branch and the surrounding area where customers are treated fairly. I'd strongly advise people to stay far away, save themselves the frustration, and book somewhere that values its guests. I absolutely don't recommend it.

The "Family Suite" didn't really give us a separate living room. It was just extra space by the bed, with a chair and a small table, and not enough sleeping space for three people with the furnishings provided. The front desk woman was eating while helping me and came across as rude and unwelcoming.
