The hotel is fairly new and nice, but I had a few problems. The motion-sensitive thermostat shut off the AC if nobody moved for 30 minutes, leaving us in a scorching room while trying to sleep. They fixed it the next day, at least in my room, but the fix lasted only a day or two before it started shutting off again. There are laundry machines, but they're not installed. The desk told me to carry my laundry to a partner hotel a block away and wait through the cycles in their lobby instead of staying in my comfortable room. The hotel had been open for a few months, according to Google reviews, so I don't understand why the machines weren't ready for guests. Jeff at home2suites, the partner hotel, was VERY accommodating and helpful despite my aggravated mood. The pricing also felt deceptive. Rooms are advertised and reserved at a good price, then they charge $15 a night for parking at check-in. If they want that much per night, they should include it in the advertised price instead of adding the cost when it's too late to look elsewhere.

The elevator was already making loud noises, and when we were ready to leave it had stopped completely. We had to wait for staff to get it running again. The front desk only offered lip service. We stayed January 5 and 6, 2026, and had trouble with the heating the whole time. The heat was the only setting turned on, but cold air kept coming on for a while and then shutting off, over and over. An employee came up twice after I called the desk, but they couldn't get it working either. They moved us to another room, and it had the same problem. I couldn't get any satisfaction, and speaking with the front desk didn't help.

Whenever my friend and I need a break from Sioux Falls, we stay at this hotel. We keep choosing this location, and I’m overdue in saying how good the staff are. Paris was friendly and professional, and even helped me sign up for Hilton Honors. Kendall has checked us in several times and always gives great service. Funny enough, Kendall also works at Macadoodles, the local liquor store. We had an awesome time there doing a blind tasting challenge, an experience I won't forget!

It would help if the reservation explained where to park and how to find the front desk. The outside signs aren't very good, and the desk was hard to locate. There wasn't security at the hotel or in the parking area. Breakfast was just okay, not really good. Plain eggs or omelets would be better, with toppings available on the side.

The maids did an amazing job, but I wouldn't recommend staying here because of the customer service and the constant hospital noise. The front desk staff, especially one person, was very rude when I tried to pay my balance. I asked for an itemized bill so we could review the charges, and she just stared at me blankly as if she didn't understand. They seemed to have trouble understanding the billing, too. My family came to visit while I was recovering from a kidney transplant. They gave the hotel their own credit card, but I was still charged for their room.
