Homewood Suites by Hilton Omaha Downtown

The front desk was beautifully decorated and clean, and manager Sandy was incredibly kind. She noticed I was distressed and comforted me. That kind of hospitality is what every hotel needs. Thank you, Sandy, for looking after me.

The room was dirty from top to bottom. There were hairs on the bathroom floor, and the bathroom door wouldn't close. The kitchen floor stuck with every step, crumbs were all over the table and carpet, and there was food under the pull-out bed cushions. They give you one huge spoon to eat with, and they don't seem to care when you report problems. The hallway smelled like a freshly smoked blunt whenever I left my room, despite the smoke-free-floor sign by the elevator. Breakfast was decent, but a worker reminded guests every 30 seconds to clean up. Parking in their own lot costs $15 a day, too. Shame on you, Hilton. I'll never stay there again. If you like a dirty space, this hotel's for you 👍

They don't tell you that parking costs extra on top of the room, even though you'd think it came with the price of staying there. And they lost my stuff. I called less than 20 minutes after leaving, but it was already gone and nobody could find it. I kept calling day after day and leaving messages with different people to ask if it had turned up. Nothing was ever recovered. Terrible.

The front desk service was the main problem. From arrival, the staff seemed inattentive and sometimes dismissive. When I asked for help, my requests were ignored or got unhelpful replies, and I didn't feel guest satisfaction mattered to them. I expected a more welcoming, professional experience and was very disappointed. If customer service matters to you, I'd look elsewhere.
