Sonesta ES Suites Omaha

The room was 90 degrees when we arrived, and after running the AC all night it had only cooled by two degrees in the morning. It felt like sleeping in an oven. The furniture was decent and modern, but that doesn't help when the premises aren't maintained. When we first checked the room, there were mouse droppings on the bed and pillows. The only occupants I booked were two adults, not a family of mice. So disgusting, and an automatic 1 star. This is by far the worst hotel I've stayed in. Spend the extra money and find somewhere without mice. Stay here and you'll regret it.

I was seven months pregnant, and finding a crumpled sanitary pad visibly stained with blood in a drawer while looking for a hairdryer was horrifying. It couldn't have been mine. I checked in in the early hours of Sunday and had already found two live cockroaches running across the floor as soon as I entered the room. The room was extremely poorly cleaned. After showering, I saw what looked like blood on one of the face towels, which left me uncomfortable and anxious about hygiene and the possibility of more insects. I could barely rest that night. I paid for another night but checked out immediately because the room felt so unsanitary and distressing. I spoke to the front desk staff, who I understand went to check what I had described. I formally asked for a full refund, but nobody has responded. This is completely unacceptable and not the standard anyone would expect from a hotel. I attached photos documenting the room's condition.

The front door didn't close all the way, so bugs could get in, and the bathroom had mold. The pots were dirty, there weren't enough dishes for two, and the dishwasher was disgusting. I stopped looking because I didn't want to find anything else. Very disappointed. I've stayed at many of these and never had issues, so please don't judge the others by this one. We got our money back in 3 to 5 days and moved to a much better place.

It's sad to see how far this hotel has fallen. It used to be beautiful and really deserved its rating, but now it feels like a glorified motel 6. In the short time I stayed, I saw a lot of drug deals. I wouldn't recommend bringing a family here. It's disappointing how much it has changed from the really great hotel it used to be.
