In-and-out Burger is literally across the street, which is a nice perk if you're visiting California. The hotel is conveniently near the airport, but there isn't a shuttle, so budget roughly $10 for an Uber. Morning coffee is free, though there's only powdered creamer and no milk, so we ended up going to Starbucks. The pool was also closed for some issue. The desk staff said the hotel had opened just nine weeks earlier, and it made a good first impression: a cool lobby, friendly people, and very clean rooms. The room was new, clean, and comfortable, but some policies weren't very visitor-friendly. The bathroom barn door doesn't lock, so there's no privacy. You can't get extra towels beyond four, and to exchange for clean ones you must bring the used towels down to the lobby in their basket. They checked each towel, found makeup on one, and warned us we'd be charged $8 if it didn't wash out. They don't offer darker towels for makeup, like some hotels and inns do.

When we arrived on 2/23, the hotel said our reservation had been canceled as a no-show and that no rooms were available. We'd booked a suite for 2/22, but a flight delay caused us to miss our connection and spend the night on a layover. My husband called Everhome at noon on 2/22 to explain we'd only be able to check in on 2/23. The attendant told him to contact Expedia for compensation. He said he wasn't asking for compensation, just wanted to make sure our room would stay reserved. The attendant assured him it would be fine. I showed the confirmation when they said we had no reservation. I asked for a manager, but was told the manager was busy. After I asked for a regional manager, the desk worker made a call and said a manager would come down shortly. The manager apologized and said the attendant was new and had made a mistake. They had a standard room, but no suites like ours for the next two days, and we'd have to pay again because they couldn't access the funds from the original Expedia booking. So the customer has to bear the consequences of an employee's mistake?

Tony is the person I can count on at night. He's helpful, experienced, and knows the answers when I have questions about my stay. De Shawn and Valeria have checked me in on previous visits, and they're efficient, friendly, and handle any issues that come up. DeShaw was a great hire too, personable and hardworking, a perfect addition to an already wonderful team. All three make my stays at Everhome Suites great, and that's why I keep coming back. My room has plenty of space and is clean. The fridge, cooktop, and other small appliances are great and roomy, and being able to bring pets is a welcome extra. I've found the amenities comfortable and pleasant, and the staff have been warm and hospitable. Yoelka campos, my housekeeper, is especially friendly and helpful.
