Budget Inn

We had everything we needed for our two-night stay, and the room was spacious and clean. The customer service from the Evoke employees was as good as it gets. It's close to town and right on the main road.

For a budget stay, this basic motel should suit most people who mainly want good value for a night. It was clean and had cable TV, a mini fridge, and a small microwave. My only real issues were the empty liquid soap dispenser by the sink, no bar soap as a backup, and not even a couple of disposable cups. The bathroom felt a little awkward because it was small and the door opened into the space, though that may just be my preference.

The desk staff were really friendly and helpful, and the decor had been updated a little. The room was small, especially the bathroom, but the hot water was great. It was comfortable enough for a couple of nights.

We’ve been here for two weeks. It seemed fine at first, but the maid, who lives here, is loud and seems to yell at her toddler grandson and husband constantly. At one point she got physical with him. She never asked if we wanted the room cleaned, then told the owner it was filthy, when it only needed sweeping. She also blamed us for a mess that was there before we arrived. The pillows are flat, though the bed itself isn't too bad, and there wasn't a coffee pot in the room. For just one night, it's okay and fairly cheap. If you're staying longer, I'd go next door and pay the extra $30.
