Aspen Motor Inn

The lake view is amazing, and the hotel is right on the lakeside. There’s a balcony facing the lake, too. Rooms are cozy and spacious, with comfortable, roomy beds, a desk for working, and a fairly large TV. The downside is the limited channels and no way to connect to YouTube or anything. The pool is nice and kept warm, but be careful not to get water in your mouth, as it seemed to be a saltwater pool. The clean lobby has plenty of seating, and the included breakfast was good with lots of choices. It’s a neat touch that they can close off the breakfast area with doors once it’s over. The staff were amazing. All the women working there were very kind and chatted with us each time we came through the front door. All around, 10/10. I’d absolutely recommend it and stay again.

We come back every year, usually in winter, and this visit was just under a week. It’s nice seeing the same employees still there, which says a lot about the employer. Everyone is kind, no matter what time you arrive. Breakfast is the standard setup, but the bacon and make-your-own pancakes were my favorites. I also like that breakfast is available until 9:30am. The only downside was the thin ceilings, which made it a bit noisy at times, though that’s to be expected in a multistory building. Thanks for another great stay!

Breakfast was disappointing, there’s no ATM for cash to wash and dry clothes, and Netflix isn’t available. The front desk wouldn’t answer the phone. At 8:30am, cleaners knocked loudly on everyone’s door to ask if they wanted towels. 👎

My wife and I stayed here while visiting family nearby. The whole hotel, including the shared spaces and our room, was in excellent shape. Staff were exceptionally friendly, especially manager Tabatha. She was fantastic, and her helpful, friendly attitude seemed to carry through to the rest of the team. We’d absolutely stay here again.
