My three sons had a great time on our surprise overnight hotel stay. The pool was a favorite, especially since they got it to themselves both times. They also loved the mini kitchen, heating leftover DQ on a glass plate in the microwave and discovering there was a dishwasher. The lake view from our room made the stay extra special, and the staff were all friendly. Breakfast had lots of choices and was wonderful. The room suited the four of us, though one son didn’t like the shower head or pressure, while I thought it was fine. We all found the beds a bit too firm. It was my second time with this hotel brand, and I’ve enjoyed both stays, though the bed comfort could be better.

The room was quiet, the bed was super comfortable, and the big TV and view of a local park were nice. My granddaughter especially liked the huge shower, and we both enjoyed breakfast. The man working in the breakfast area was friendly and helpful. I chose TownPlace Suites after checking reviews in two local counties because I wanted a nice pool. It was clean and warm, and we were happy with it. There’s also a nice fitness area, though we didn’t use it. The only pool downside was that there’s no hot tub. I’d brought my little granddaughter for a special night while her parents celebrated their anniversary. At checkout I mentioned someone had been smoking pot overnight. I know it can be hard to tell which room it’s coming from and stop it. The woman at the front desk was understanding and discounted our room, which I appreciated. I felt bad that my granddaughter was exposed to the smoke, but all in all it was a great stay.

We enjoyed the king room and its very comfortable bed and pillows for our one night. The pullout couch, though, is not something you can sleep on. The top flips down, but nothing actually pulls out and there’s no mattress. It’s painfully hard. I’m surprised they count it as a bed. If you’ve had too much to drink and don’t know what’s going on, it might do, otherwise pay extra for a second bed.

I spent five weeks here, and this was easily my best hotel experience in Oshkosh. The staff made the stay feel personal and welcoming from day one. Megan, Miguel, Carmen, Lee, Brent, and others went out of their way to make me comfortable. For a long visit, the rooms worked really well. They were spotless and cozy, with a kitchenette, countertop stove, dishwasher, full size fridge and freezer, and pots and pans, so I could cook like at home. The water bottle filling stations around the property were a small thing I appreciated a lot. Breakfast was complimentary, had plenty of choices, and was always well stocked. I liked taking a few pieces of fresh fruit back to my room. I spent one of my six weeks in the area at a Hilton property in Appleton, and it didn’t come close in comfort, service, or hospitality. This hotel sets a high bar. I’d absolutely stay again and recommend it whether you’re visiting for one night or longer.
