The hot tub and complimentary towels are a great bonus, and I loved seeing live plants growing in the building. It's quiet but still poppin, and the hot dog spot across the street is another plus. The location is everything here, with lots of hiking trails close by. When I go to Monterey, I won't stay anywhere else.

It's an older property, but it's managed with care. The staff were above average, and the breakfast was better than expected for the value price. Rooms came with a fireplace and log as well as a deck, and the pool was heated during winter. I'd highly recommend staying here when the price is right.

The staff were so flexible with my stay, which I really appreciated. The room and location were lovely too. I only wish breakfast had included more than bread and hard-boiled eggs, maybe some scrambled eggs, but I had a great stay.

We’d happily come back. The hotel feels a little dated, but it’s still very nice, with plants throughout and a real fireplace in our room, plus a starter log. Staff had lots of helpful tips about the area. It’s right by 17 mile drive and just a short walk from the beach.

The real wood-burning fireplace was the best part of the room. The continental breakfast was okay, and the furnishings felt pretty average for what seemed like an upscale resort. The mattress was very firm. Since I have joint pain, I had to put a layer of pillows on it to get to sleep.
