The location was great, and apart from some issues we had a lovely stay. The Jacuzzi tub was so relaxing. We had the King Suite for two nights, and it was easy to find. But it needs an update badly. Wallpaper was peeling, plugs were broken and missing covers, and two screen covers were missing, so I had to use my shoes to keep them shut. The bed and sofa were old and uncomfortable, and the sofa arms were coming off. The room smelled musty, though it didn’t leak during the rain. For the price, it definitely didn’t feel like “luxury.” Also, there is no AC.

The room was a real fixer-upper, with a broken window and a fireplace that didn’t work. Still, the grounds are nice and quiet, and the location is excellent, just minutes from the beach. I was traveling alone, so for the price and that location, it was worth it to me, as long as you don’t need to impress anyone.

If you’re after a woodsy feel, this little spot has it. The rooms are bungalow-style, though dated and definitely due for some upgrades.

The person at the front desk was really rude when we checked in. We were polite, so I’m not sure what the attitude was about, maybe they were having a bad day. The room was falling apart too: lights didn’t work, wallpaper was coming loose, the tub was broken, and the couch was horrendous.

The suite was spacious and the location is fantastic, but that’s about all I can say in its favor. There were empty bottles, other trash, and big pieces of cardboard scattered around the grounds. The office was empty most of the time. The maintenance problems were serious: the grates beneath the buildings were torn, and raccoons got in and scratched around under the bedroom all night. There’s no pride in how the property looks or is maintained. It was a premier motel 25 years ago, but sadly it isn’t now.
