We came from Scotland to visit my Dad, who was only a 15-minute drive away, and booked at the last minute for nine nights. There was some mold and wear here and there, and it’s not the newest place, but it was clean and tidy when we arrived. For the price, we were happy. The staff were always helpful and friendly. We were offered fresh towels daily, and since we were in the room most mornings, I kept it tidy. They’d make the bed if needed, remove the trash, and replace anything that had run out. The breakfast had a great selection, the beds were comfortable, and my son loved the pool. We went almost every morning, and he learned to swim there. I highly recommend it for the staff, breakfast, comfy beds, and clean rooms.

The alley behind the property had people openly making drug deals and loitering, which made the area feel unsafe. Inside, the hotel had mold and live cockroaches, and I was lied to about the room. The manager was never around to handle issues, and they refused to refund me. There was no accountability or care for guests. This place preys on tourists, shouldn’t be rated 2.5 stars, and is an absolute dump. Don’t stay here, especially with children or if you need a safe environment.

There were bugs in the room, the microwave didn’t work, and weed smoke from next door filled my room. I also saw two homeless people showering at the pool shower around 1 am, and several homeless people were hanging around the hotel without staff seeming to care. At 9:30 am, housekeeping woke me with aggressive knocking even though my do not disturb sign was up. Don’t stay here.

The reception lady kept trying to make us comfortable from the moment we arrived. Our room was clean and well equipped, and the pool was lovely, clean in many places, and almost always empty. My son really enjoyed it. We’ll definitely come back.

Whenever we’re in Panama City, I like staying here. Everyone is friendly, and they have a really good breakfast too.
