Embassy Suites by Hilton Las Vegas

Even though the room service was great, the stay didn't make us feel welcome. I like Embassy and its made to order breakfast, but the free drinks couldn't make up for the poor customer service. The breakfast cooks seemed annoyed, even though there were very few guests at that time. The women near the bar gave us smirks and disgusted looks when the complimentary snacks were served. The pool also closes at 5 p.m., with no later hours. I might consider staying here again.

We keep coming back because of the staff. The bartender and breakfast cook have been there for years and are simply awesome, and the rest of the team is great too. If they have rooms available, I can't see staying anywhere else. It's in a nice spot off the Strip, easy to get in and out of, and getting to the airport is straightforward.

The service was awful, and the reception staff were so rude. I paid $160 a night and wouldn't recommend it. The synthetic pillows were very uncomfortable. Someone else's hair was clearly visible in the bathtub, which hadn't been cleaned, so I didn't shower. There were no shower caps, slippers, or bathrobe. At breakfast, the spinach and eggs were burned, and the forks and knives were plastic. Ridiculous.

The omelet station was the best part of breakfast, and the other food choices were good too. Just keep the timing in mind: breakfast ends at 9 a.m., the omelet line was long and slow, and even the other food and drinks were running low shortly before nine. Don't arrive late. We had a king room overlooking the Strip, with views of the Sphere and Strat. Beside the bedroom was a sitting room with a sofa, big TV, refrigerator, and table, separated by a door. We also got tickets for complimentary drinks and snacks from 5:30 to 7 p.m., which was nice. It's perhaps a 25 minute walk to the Strip, and the parking lot isn't free, though you can come and go. All in all, we liked the place and would be happy to return.
