Studio Suites Extended Stay

This was by far the worst hotel I’ve stayed in. I booked a week, but left after three days. The first room smelled of mold and cigarettes, and had bed bugs or ticks. The odor wouldn’t go away. I complained and asked for a refund, but they moved me to another room with the same ticks and awful smell. Then a huge roach crawled out from behind the bed’s headboard, and that was it for me. Some local guests were loud, and I thought they were drug users. It was a disgusting place, and I wouldn’t recommend it. I asked for a refund after leaving, expecting nothing, and was told it would be back in my account in 5-7 business days. It never arrived. If you work by the shipyard, try Super 8 or Studio Six. They’re much better and more comfortable after a long day at work. 0 out of 10 👎🏾

Check-in was quick and easy, and the room was quiet, clean, and nice. It’s in a safe, pleasant area, but the location on a busy road makes getting in and out difficult.

There was a musty smell in the room, maybe from mold. The other guests seemed shady. They say they don’t have locals staying there, but I know for a fact that locals were living there.

They’ve made a lot of upgrades around the place. The guy at the desk was pretty good, too. I do miss the Nola Cafe.
