Oxford Suites Pendleton

The rooms were satisfactory, the staff very friendly, and the rates reasonable. Still, my first visit didn't leave me especially impressed, though I know one stay isn't enough to make a final judgment. Check-in took a 30-minute wait because the front desk person was away on a break. For a hotel this size, I thought there should be more than one person at the desk at 8:30 p.m., which is still fairly early. Breakfast had several issues. The biscuits and gravy weren't high quality, and the biscuits were hard to eat without a knife. There were no clean juice glasses, so we waited for some to come through the dishwasher. Only two tables had pepper shakers, which was inconvenient. At 6:30 a.m., shortly after the hotel opened, the coffee creamers were completely empty, and several forks were dirty. I might consider staying again, but I'll be more cautious.

The man who checked us in was very good, and the room was clean with a comfortable bed, but it felt a little tired. What made the stay hard was the constant freeway noise. The building sits right beside the on-ramp and Interstate 84, so we heard traffic all evening and night until checkout. I can't understand why a company would build so close to the highway. The access to the Interstate is convenient, but the noise made the location worth only two stars. We paid extra for a suite with more space and seating, but it wasn't comfortable, and the couch was hard. The place felt overpriced and the free breakfast wasn't very good either. It didn't feel worthwhile, and I doubt we'll return. Next time in Pendleton, we'll look for a newer hotel with a fairer price, even if it's a bit out of the way, perhaps closer to the airport. I couldn't find anything special to say about this place.

We were in Pendleton for one night and picked Oxford Suites for our family of six. The suite was spacious, clean, and worked perfectly with our four kids. My husband and I also enjoyed the lounge and bar downstairs, where Jessica gave us amazing, friendly service. We hope to stay here again when we're in the area.

The cooks at breakfast were absolutely kind, and I loved talking with them. The room itself was fine. The rest of the atmosphere was a strange mix of awkward tension and the feeling that the staff would rather be anywhere else than dealing with the people who keep the business running. Most hotels at least pretend to be polite. It's impressive, honestly. Thanks.
