Jack told us arrival was between 3 and 6 PM, and he meant it. We were delayed coming from Sun Valley after leaving a purse behind in Hailey ID, so we had to drive back from Mount Home ID. I called Jack around 3 PM, explained the delay, and he said he’d be there to let us in. We got there just before 9 pm, but nobody answered the door or returned any of the three messages we left. He charged us the full rate for a night we didn’t stay. Don’t arrive late.

We’d enjoyed our previous stay at The Pendleton House, but returned for our granddaughter's graduation on June 1, 2025 and were really disappointed. We’d planned on two nights and left after one. The new ownership and management seem in over their head, in my opinion. Some spots, including the bathrooms, were fairly clean, but most of the place wasn’t. Our room floor looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a long time, and there was dirt and dust on the picture frames. The front porch sitting area had overflowing ashtrays and a full trash can, and there were cigarette butts in the gutter outside our room. Dust bunnies were on the lower living area floors and stairs. The dog smell and other odors were disgusting. I went looking for the host and saw the kitchen. What a disaster. We couldn’t even consider eating breakfast. I emailed them our concerns and suggestions for better cleaning, but got no reply. Either they don’t check their email or they don’t care.

A short walk from the house takes you into town, with plenty to see and do. Jack was an amazing host, and the whole experience far exceeded what I expected. The house is exquisite, and the room and accommodations were beautiful, comfortable, and inviting, truly top tier. You can tell how much pride and care Jack puts into guests’ experience. Don’t skip breakfast, it’ll make you never want to leave. Everything was amazing. Thanks for a lovely stay!

Jack and Will were so kind and gave us great suggestions for things to do and places to eat in Pendleton. We also loved hearing about the house’s history, and the staff happily answered all our questions. We were warmly welcomed right at our agreed arrival time, then had pleasant, helpful service throughout. We stayed August 27-29, 2024. The room and amenities were lovely, the bed was comfortable, and we slept great. Breakfast was exceptional. I can’t recommend this BnB enough. We’ll stay again and tell our family and friends about it.
