The shower made me really happy, with plenty of hot water and a lovely curtain. The owner was welcoming and attentive, and easy to talk with if you take the time to chat. It's a great bargain and convenient to the interstate.

We were unexpectedly stuck by ice while driving through Oregon toward Salt Lake City, and the stay turned a stressful day into a cozy, memorable one. Rugged Country Lodge felt welcoming as soon as we arrived. Everything was spotless and comfortable, and the place had a charming, quiet, inviting country-lodge feel. After hours of driving in winter conditions, it was such a relief to settle in somewhere peaceful. If we're in the area again, we'd stay here without hesitation. Highly recommend it for anyone passing through or wanting a welcoming, comfortable place.

I really appreciated that they found us a dog-friendly room at the last minute, without a huge fee, after I-84 closed to traffic. The room was comfortable and had everything we needed, and we slept really well. All the staff were kind and accommodating. Great place to stay, thank you!

The Rooster Room, where you eat, is adorable and clean, and breakfast was good. Staff were friendly and very helpful, and I'd stay again. Our room was small, but the beds were clean and comfortable. Room 24 had no bathroom fan, and the carpet needs cleaning, though I always wear slippers. We travel with a dog and there was no grass nearby for her potty stop, so I took off a star. The nearby train tracks weren't enough to bother us, and the road out front didn't bother us either.

The gentleman who checked us in was polite and thorough. The older rooms were well kept and very clean, and the stay was nice and fairly quiet, aside from occasional freight trains. Breakfast had some healthier choices, including boiled eggs, fruit and yogurt. I thought the extra charge for my dog was reasonable.
