We come for the annual dog show, and I’d stay here again. The owners are courteous and really friendly, and everything was extra clean. Rooms are nice and clean, though nothing stood out in particular. Breakfast is basic, with very few choices. The paved, marked parking lot feels secure, rates are reasonable, and you can walk to other businesses. It’s easy to get on and off the highway.

We’ve stopped here three times now, and it’s been clean, comfortable, and quiet every visit. The people are really nice too. A good place to stop overnight.

The room was clean and dated, but worked fine for the two nights we needed it. It’s a quiet place for a quick stop while traveling. The shower pressure was the worst I’ve ever had, and rinsing shampoo took about three times as long. The AC was loud enough to wake us several times both nights, and the TV was maybe 19 inches, if that. Checkout is at 11 am, but at 9:30 on checkout day the owner knocked even though the “Privacy Please” magnet they provide was plainly on the door. I was awake but undressed in bed, with a clear view from the doorway, and had to cover up quickly. My husband opened the door and the owner was standing about eight feet from the bed, so we made eye contact. He reminded us about checkout an hour and a half early. My husband said we’d be out before 10:30, and closed the door. It felt pushy, awkward, and disrespectful. We got the impression he wanted us out early so housekeeping could come in, though it was Sunday and there wasn’t a rush to get the room. It was completely unnecessary to act as if we couldn’t manage our own time. Clean rooms matter, but so does having owners who respect guests’ privacy and boundaries.

The beds were painful, and after two nights in room 115 we didn’t get good rest. We were in town to visit my dad, who lives nearby, and had hoped this might become our usual place after trying many hotels around here. It won’t, unfortunately. It’s a very clean, old-fashioned two-story motel, with each room’s door facing outside, and the staff were courteous. With a little money and imagination, it could make a really cute, distinctive boutique-style place.
