After standing around for about 20 minutes following a four-hour drive, we finally got to our queen suite. The bed definitely wasn't a queen, the desk chair was ripped, and the lights were so dim they barely helped you see where you were going. At first glance the room looked great, but that didn't last. The manager also had an attitude, and breakfast was just cereal, apple juice, and orange juice. Very disappointing. I'd rather pay more and drive the extra 30 minutes to a better hotel. Check-in was a hassle too. Nobody was at the desk during check-in hours, despite a sign telling us to call. It took forever for someone to answer and then come out. This is a no-smoking hotel, which is normal, but we got a whole speech about rules, including no cooking. The rules and consequences were already posted on a board behind the desk. A simple instruction to read and follow them would have done the job. The shower was disgusting. The heat bulb wouldn't turn on, and even its timer was broken. The water came out hot, warm, or ice cold, with nothing in between. The handle came off in my hand. I started slipping on the supposedly slip-proof tub floor, and when I grabbed the handicap handle, it moved too. It seemed glued to the wall instead of secured to a stud. The drain was covered in rust, the showerhead in lime, and the tiny bathroom door barely shut because it swung inward. The bed couldn't decide whether to swallow you up or be so hard it hurt. The AC vents were black with dust and grime. We set it to 64, but it stayed above 70 and mostly just blew air around, making the room stuffier. Both mornings I woke up with an irritated nose and a clogged feeling in my throat. There was no redeeming the stay. I hate leaving bad reviews and usually try to find something good to say, but this time I couldn't. The old saying, you get what you pay for, came to mind.

The room was filthy, with cans left behind by the previous guest, a dirty tub, and dead bugs scattered around. The bed was hard too. I mentioned it at the front desk, but he didn't seem to care. I wouldn't stay here again or recommend it.

The only real drawback was the location on the edge of town, where there's not much nearby. I don't eat breakfast, so I can't comment on that. Still, my four-night stay was pleasant and peaceful, and I'd happily stay here again if I'm in the area. My room and the sheets and blanket were clean. There was no hot water at the sink at first, but management quickly fixed it by opening a closed valve. I got clean towels every day, the garbage was taken out, and each day someone checked whether I needed anything or wanted the room cleaned. The owners are on site and very friendly. Smoking isn't allowed in the rooms, though there's a covered outdoor smoking area. Pets aren't allowed.

It wasn't terrible, but the building smelled like old Indian food, which is why I didn't give it five stars. It could use some updates.

The location worked well for my work assignment, and the room was fairly spacious. The staff were okay and the water was hot. I didn't try the breakfast. I brought my own bedding and slept on the sofa, so I can't say how comfortable the bed was. I wouldn't come back, though it could have been worse. It was very noisy, with long-term guests talking loudly and their kids running through the hallway. The walls are paper-thin, there were no blankets, and the fridge never got very cold. It's a Super 8, so don't expect the Ritz.
