Motel 6 Perry, GA

We were excited to find a hotel six minutes from the dog show we attend regularly, but we won't be returning. Other guests made it hard to rest: children knocked on our door nearly every night, loud music played around the property, people gathered in the parking lot outside our room, and there was stomping and running upstairs throughout the night. The bathroom was a disappointment. There was noticeable mold in the shower, so we avoided using it during our four-day stay, though the toilet was clean and worked properly. The beds were comfortable, staff were accommodating, and we didn't see any of the bugs mentioned in other reviews. The dog waste station was confusingly placed just a few feet behind a “No Dogs” sign by the closed pool. We thought dogs just weren't allowed beyond the sign. My younger sister was yelled at by someone who appeared to be an employee and told to “read the sign.” When I asked why there was a waste station there if it wasn't meant to be used, nobody explained; we were only told to take the dog across the property to an area without a station, where there was broken glass on the ground. The dumpsters were disgusting, surrounded by trash and broken bottles.

There were bugs crawling on the walls and ceiling, a large hole knocked into the bathroom wall, and the TV didn't work. The AC cover was torn up and leaning against the unit. I checked out and got a full refund. I won't try staying at Motel 6 again.

Don't waste your money at this place in Perry ga. Roaches were crawling in the bed and up the walls, and the power didn't work in either of the first two rooms I was given. I had to switch rooms three times because of bugs or no power. Worst place to book.

There was plenty of food nearby, and Walmart shares the parking lot. The area seemed okay and was mostly clean. I was only there overnight with my dogs for a show at the Fairgrounds. The floor was still wet when I came in, and the room smelled like bleach. The AC was off, but cooled the room fairly quickly once I turned it on. The room was very bare, with no dresser or drawers, just a closet without a door. There was nowhere in the bathroom to set shampoo or other bathing things, and no hair dryer. I also found a bottle of pills in the bed, so I don't think the sheets had been changed. The place is supposed to welcome dogs, but signs on the grass say not to walk them there, which is confusing. At 2 AM the room was 72 degrees, and although the AC was running, it wasn't blowing cold air. By 8 AM it had reached 77, and I was sweating badly, so I got up and left. I mentioned it to the woman at the desk when I checked out, but she didn't seem to care.
