Hilton Garden Inn Toledo Perrysburg

After my complaint, the front office manager called back, arranged things to make up for the inconvenience, and added a star for the service. She said they'd look into the room issues and that this wasn't normal there. During our stay, though, the room was a letdown. Cold air came in from outside under the AC/heating unit, and I had to stuff towels there to block it. The bed by the bathroom was off its frame, so when you sat on one side the other lifted, and I kept having to push the mattress back. The tub plug wasn't attached properly, so my son couldn't take a bath. In the bathroom, the wall where the lotion was meant to be screwed in had two unfinished holes, and the lotion was left on the counter. The pool door was so hard to open we thought it was closed and asked staff for help. They said you had to push down very hard. We got in eventually, then had to let other guests through because they struggled with the door too. I messaged staff, but they only said they'd pass it to the manager. I was surprised, since I haven't had these problems at other Hilton Garden Inns in other cities.

The staff were nice and the location was great, but that was about the extent of the good. I'd avoid room 528. It was clean, but worn out, with scratches, dents, and chunks of trim missing. The heavy trim at the sink was coming loose and could hurt someone's foot if it fell. The bed frame was broken, the pillows were flat and worn, and the blanket was snagged all over. It did its job, but looked sloppy. The security door barrier was loose and crooked; it seemed maintenance had tried to put it back without replacing the damaged frame. Water pressure shut off completely several times while I showered on both days. The hallways also felt like an older, lower-class hotel, with scratched and marked walls and doors. The facility and location are nice, but maintenance needs to be better and pay closer attention to details. I'll likely look for another hotel next time I'm in the area. Stay date: 2/2/26 - 2/4/2026

The beds in our room were awful, though we let management know and they made it right. We happened to get a room that hadn't been updated yet, and they are gradually renovating them. The facility and the cute shopping and dining area nearby were great.

I was very unsatisfied. The rooms are outdated, the AC in my room didn't work, and there was damage throughout. Most of the amenities seemed broken, including the pool and hot tub.
