Days Inn by Wyndham Petersburg/South Fort Lee

The bed was so comfortable I slept like a stone. Everything was nice and clean, and it all worked. The TV was my only complaint: the cable selection wasn’t as good as at home, and it could have been easier to use. But I go there to sleep.

Room 516 was the nastiest room I’ve ever stayed in. The owner told us we had to leave, saying we were causing problems, and said he trusted the housekeepers when we said they were rude and lying. They claimed they’d brought towels, toilet paper, and trash bags, but hadn’t. They also went into people’s rooms and stole things. The mold was everywhere. For rooms this horrible and disgusting, they shouldn’t charge $70, it should be $30. I’ll report the business and owner. We started out in room 510 for a few days, and it was decent, but the beds were tiny and hard as rocks. The TV was broken until they switched it after we asked. The toilet was very loose, and maintenance took all day to tighten it, but it was still loose. We asked to move because of the beds and got room 516. I have lots of pictures to prove how bad it was. The housekeepers were next to room 516 and very loud, slamming their door and yelling at us. They didn’t knock because we had dogs, though our dogs were contained the whole time and they could have knocked.

We stopped here halfway through our trip, and it was an ideal location. The staff were welcoming and accommodating. The beds were more comfortable than expected, with fluffy pillows, and breakfast was simple but exactly what my family wanted. I’d highly recommend a night at this Days Inn.

Clean, clean, clean! The room could use a few cosmetic fixes, but it really was clean. The bed was very comfortable, and the sheets were cotton rather than that awful microfiber. I’d definitely stay again.
