Independence Park Hotel, BW Premier Collection

Parking was in a garage about a block away. We got printed directions and a parking card, which we returned at checkout. Check-in was easy and the welcome was warm. The average-size room was clean, comfortable and quiet. It was cold when we arrived, but we warmed it up without trouble. There was coffee, cookies and a nice fire in the lobby. We switched our reservation from Hilton to BW for obvious reasons, and were glad we did. Excellent hotel.

Everywhere was clean and comfortable, and we slept really well. The room had such a cozy feel that we were happy to spend the evenings inside away from the cold instead of heading out. The hotel's in a convenient spot in Philadelphia's Old District, and I had no complaints. There was a cookie bar with hot chocolate every day from 4-6, which was perfect for my sweet tooth. Breakfast is included, and I'd call it just okay.

With only 40 rooms, it never felt like there were overwhelming crowds. Our rooms were spotless, beautiful and spacious, and the staff were pleasant and accommodating. The lobby seating area and fireplace were lovely, and the front desk was staffed around the clock. The location is ideal for exploring historic downtown. The hotel works with an indoor parking lot a little over a block away. You can charge parking to your room and come and go as often as you want. There's also a 10-minute loading and unloading area in front. Highly recommend. I've already booked for next year.

I've lived in Old City for many years and still come back monthly to visit. This small boutique hotel is the only place I stay. The rooms are clean, service is great, and breakfast is excellent. There isn't a bar, banquet space, conference setup or weddings. If you want a quiet place to sleep in the heart of the historic district, this is it.
