My room on the 18th floor was very quiet, away from the elevator, and the temperature stayed comfortable without swinging from too hot to too cold. The bed and pillows were comfortable too. Those things matter most to me, and the location is excellent. I'd recommend the hotel and might stay again for those reasons. There were downsides, though. The decor looked worn, and there was a lot of dust behind the end table where I plugged in my charger and on the ceiling filter above the toilet. The common spaces felt too small for the number of people using them, and I didn't care for their decor either. Staff were nice enough and service was good, but they seemed too busy to be especially kind. When I asked Saturday night for a late checkout Sunday morning, I got a canned no and was told to ask again in the morning. That was odd because the little card at check-in suggested I could get one by asking, though maybe I misread it. I might have enjoyed a newer hotel, like the Hyatt Centric two blocks away.

Irina, Akira, and Dermot were so kind and helpful while I was there. The service was top notch, and the amenities felt next level. They had a coffee bar from 9-10am and complimentary wine at happy hour from 5-7, though I might have the hours wrong. Such a nice touch, and exactly the kind of thing that would bring me back. I definitely will!

The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and free popcorn plus wine at happy hour was a nice bonus. The rooms were clean, though a little small and the furniture could use some TLC. Great location near Rittenhouse Square and the business district. We had an amazing stay.

I'm from Philadelphia and booked a jetted tub room with points for my birthday in December, hoping for a calm start to a new chapter. I'd stayed here a few weeks earlier and thought it was cute and would do the trick. Instead, the room had no hot water for my one-night stay. I couldn't use the tub, which was the whole point, and had to take a cold shower in a chilly bathroom on my birthday morning. Staff didn't tell me about the problem until I called down twice. I accepted the IHG points they offered at the time, but I'm still upset about how it was handled. The points wouldn't cover even a regular room, let alone the upgraded one I booked with the tub. I also had a scary moment in an elevator that wasn't working properly. My room was clean enough, I suppose, and staff were friendly enough, but I left very disappointed. I thought I'd found my go-to hotel in the city, but now I'm hesitant to return and will probably try somewhere else. Center City has lots of options.

Square 1682 made a big impression on me. The amenity fee credit can be used at the attached restaurant, and don't skip the breakfast fee. It saved me a lot of money, and the food was rich and tasty. I ate there almost every day. Hosts Francesca and Tauna made my evenings fun with their banter and recommendations, and servers Carson, Cindy, and Kaitlyn knew the menu inside out. Their smiles and great service made me a fan. I highly recommend it! Akira, TerryAnn, and Onalisa greeted me with smiles from the start, answered all my questions, and gave me directions. They made the stay comfortable. My room was clean, and housekeeping kept everything spotless.
