We ended up keeping our original room at the same price, but it had no water, despite what we’d paid for an en suite bathroom. The host apologized but wouldn’t offer comparable compensation or a refund. The alternatives were a room with no bathroom and no door key, or one floor higher with an extra twin bed we didn’t need and no shower. It took almost two hours of back-and-forth, and we were given wrong information about the locks, codes, and WiFi. We had to use the communal bathroom, which had no lock, and I didn’t feel comfortable. The kitchen breakfast supplies hadn’t been stocked either. It was a waste of our evening, and I wouldn’t return to the Silverwood Street location.

We spent the weekend in the 2nd Quarters room. It was small but cute, and the bathroom was quite nice. The lobby had a fun vibe, though the vending machine didn’t have food. I also missed having a TV, and without a curtain on the window it was hard to sleep past 7. The location was nice, and we’d stay again.

The hosts were gracious and easy to reach by text or phone. The room felt homey, and staying there had more of a lived-in feel than a typical hotel. It’s a lovely spot near Main Street, though parking is tight. Great for a weekend if you’re happy to handle things yourself without much hand-holding.

The room was clean and suited our stay well, with coffee and utensils available around the clock. We had trouble finding the check-in details because of a mix-up on the third-party booking site, but the staff responded quickly and explained everything clearly. I’d recommend it.
