I didn’t feel safe here. On Saturday night, a man knocked on my door for hours asking for “dime bags,” even after I told him he had the wrong room. The neighboring rooms were noisy into the night, too. My room was filthy, with sticky dresser tops, no trashcan, and at least six baby roaches I had to kill. I paid $85 online, then at check-in they told me there was another $100 security deposit. They should have disclosed that upfront. For what I got, it was overpriced.

The room was disgusting, with trash left behind, dirty floors, a terrible smell, and bugs. I felt unsafe and uncomfortable the whole time, and nobody did anything when I complained. The staff were rude and unhelpful from start to finish, like having guests was a nuisance. This was one of my worst stays. The place clearly doesn’t care about cleanliness or guest satisfaction. I wouldn’t return, and I’d tell others to avoid this Motel 6.

My friend and I came to Pittsburgh for a concert and booked this cheap “motel.” We’re two 25-year-old women, and the stay left us feeling violated and unsafe. A front desk woman walked into our room while we were changing, with both of us in our bra and underwear. She then insisted my friend had said she didn’t want the room, even though neither of us had. She kept saying, “yes the girl you’re with.” Why didn’t they ask our names and check the room first? There was no deadbolt, so we barricaded the door and slept with a hammer. It’s 2025, and after that, they offered us nothing. A $50 refund would have been the least they could do. What if they’d sent a man to the room? There was also a huge water-filled pothole in the parking lot, so I couldn’t park near our room. We have potholes in Baltimore, but this was ridiculous. The comforter was stained, too. It took me a week to decide to post this, but women should be warned. Avoid this truck stop of a motel unless you want to feel violated or risk your tires in those potholes. Never again.

The people were very helpful and good to us. The rooms were reasonably priced and a great deal. Thanks so much. This feels like home, and I’ll come back next time I’m in the area.
