Kimpton Hotel Monaco Pittsburgh by IHG

Great service! The hotel has a long list of things that can make a stay feel more comfortable, almost like being at home, including a water kettle, curling iron, microwave, and many other items. The lounge is beautifully designed but also functional and comfortable for sitting, working, or discussion.

The beds and pillows felt like clouds, and I was very happy with the hotel. The birdcage lamp is kind of their staple, your wife will love it!! The staff were really friendly and helpful too. You need your key card to use the elevators or you can’t go up. Ask me how I know!!!

The rooms are beautiful, especially the bathroom, and the bed was very comfortable. I had a lovely one-night staycation and a relaxing soak in the incredible tub, though I could’ve used slightly hotter water. Room service was my one complaint: dinner took over an hour, and breakfast took more than two. They called in the morning to say their ordering system was down, but didn’t offer to cover any of the bill, which seemed warranted. The food was a bit underwhelming for the price. Apart from that, it was a very nice stay, and I’d do it again for sure.

We arrived very late on a Thursday, and were pleasantly surprised by how comfortable the bed was. The room was spotless, my number one requirement for a high review, and it stayed quiet and peaceful despite how much was going on in the hotel. The hotel is well-appointed and in a great spot for walking around town. There were cute design details everywhere, and we enjoyed a delicious cup of coffee on the first floor each morning. The restaurant felt dark and cozy, and we had a nice breakfast there on checkout day. Our server was excellent. The hotel staff were polite, helpful, and unobtrusive. We look forward to staying again.
