Quality Inn University Center

The room had decent space and was mostly clean, but the tub and shower walls had grime and needed a more thorough scrub. One of the lamps didn’t work. It’s still an okay hotel, and having a Panera bread right in the hotel is a nice bonus.

The service was very nice, and when we chose to leave early, they let us cancel one night without an extra charge. The room was a good size. A few things were odd, though: the toilet made funny noises while refilling, the AC airflow was strong even with the temperature set relatively high, and the door was really difficult to open, close, and lock at night.

From the seventh floor we had a great view, including the conservatory and Pitt's tower of learning. The staff were friendly and helpful, and there’s a free shuttle, though I didn’t use it. The rooms could use updating, but they’re very spacious.

The city view from my balcony was amazing, and the room itself was clean with a comfortable bed. The building looks far better outside than in: it seems old, and the paint job is poor. I was disappointed that the vending machines didn’t have water. Also, pulling out of the parking spaces in front was tricky because the drive-through is narrow.
